Zurich is a city that reveals itself slowly. In the first hours, you see the wealth, the watches, the banks. Then you discover the real city — the one that belongs to artists, walkers, and lake lovers.

🏛 Kunsthaus Zürich

The Kunsthaus recently inaugurated a spectacular extension. The permanent collection blends Old Masters with contemporary art in luminous spaces. I spent half a day there and didn't see half of it. Plan ahead and give yourself time.

🏘 Langstrasse Quarter

This is Zurich's bohemian district, the one travel guides recommend "with caution." That's precisely why you should go. Hidden bars behind discreet doors, restaurants from every corner of the world, underground art galleries. I met the most interesting Zurichers of my entire stay here.

🌿 Zürichberg — The Forest Above the City

Take the tram to the last stop, then walk. In 20 minutes you're in a dense forest, total silence, with a breathtaking view over the city and the Alps beyond. This is where I understood why the Swiss seem so at peace — they have nature at their fingertips, everywhere, always.

💎 My Ultimate Tip

Rent a bike (Publibike stations are everywhere) and follow the lake from north to south. Stop at the Badis — those public lakeside pools where Zurichers swim in crystal-clear water. Free, beautiful, and the real Zurich life.

Zurich stole a week from me. I'll gladly give it another one.
